Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez is a Cuban-American television arbitrator in the shows Caso Cerrado and Ana Polo Rules. Ana was born and lived in Havana in the Cuban capital. She moved to Miami with her family at the age of 2 following her move from Havana. The birthplace of Ana Maria Polo was Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo hosts of the prestigious Telemundo show "Caso Cerrado" which was the first Spanish programming to be nominated for the Daytime Emmy(r) Award. The show in 2015 ranked as the most popular Spanish-language programming in the 4pm hour across all key demos. Polo is a Cuban-born American that was born April 11, 1959. She attended Florida International University and graduated in political sciences. She then earned an PhD in Law at the University of Miami, and worked for 20 years in Miami. Thereafter, she obtained the PhD in Law at the University of Miami. Polo was first seen for the first time on Telemundo Sala de Parejas in 2001. Other court shows also included her legal expertise. Literature Works and Accolades 1958, she released her novel Los Hijos Muertos (The dead children) and received the Critic's Prize as well as the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute left Spain to move to the United States in 1960. Polo is a survivor of breast cancer and often gives talks to raise funds. Polo has been a vocal advocate for LGBT rights throughout her career. She received her law degree in 1987 from the University of Miami School of Law in 1987 and is an attorney in the Florida Bar.
