Lisa Edelstein was an American actress, best known as the star of Fox's House medical drama. After being raised by conservative Jews in Wayne, New York City was her destination to study theater at Tisch. Soon after, she was involved with club culture and caused enough controversy that she caught the media's attention. In the end, she utilized her education along with her fame and training to write and compose a musical called Positive Me and also starred in the show. In the following year she was recruited by MTV to be the host of Awake on the Wild Side. After Awake on The Wild Side had stopped airing, she started to act in films and on television, initially in brief roles. As time went on, her work as an actor increased.
