Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actress and actor who resided in Sweden from the 1950s to 1970s, played in numerous European films, as well as American ones. She is best known for portraying the character of "La Dolce Vita," which was a comedy-drama movie. The film received an Oscar as well as the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, as well as a commercial and critical success. The film was made in Skane, Sweden, she was a model before beginning her acting career. In the end, she was crowned Miss Sweden contest. When she moved to the US she acted in a variety of films, performing small roles. Her first credited role was in the movie 'Abbott and Costello Go to Mars In the film, she played an Venusian guard. In the following year, she won the Golden Globe award in the "Most Promising Newcomer," category after appearing in the film 'Blood Alley'. She appeared in several other films during her entire career. They include the war drama 'War and Peace',"Valerie," the Western Film "Valerie" and the British Adventure Crime film "The Man Inside and also"The Dam on the Yellow River," a French and Italian drama The Dam on the Yellow River.
