
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His most famous part was as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in the television series Magnum, P.I. The actor was nominated five times for Emmy Awards as Outstanding Lead Actor in the Drama Series (1980-1988), and was awarded the Emmy Award in 1985. Since 2010 Selleck has co-starred in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Since 2005, he has been playing Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from a small town in New York City. In addition, he has appeared in nine television movies that are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also been seen in films in the role of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect as seen in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady (90). In addition to his appearances in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has been seen in over 50 other films and television shows. Baseball and Lassiter. He was a regular on television in characters as Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends, as Lance White, the likeable and charming co-star on The Rockford Files, and as the casino's owner A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas. He also had a leading role in the television western film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran as well as a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association (NRA), an endorser in advertisements for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
